Adaptor for hose end for steam hose with female thread, zinc-plated steel, GFB, type BOSS
Adaptor for a ball-ended hose tail and wing nut. Made of galvanised steel, it has a special polymer or copper insert on the conical surface that mates with the spherical sealing surface of the end fitting. It is tightened onto the ball-ended fitting by means of a wing nut. This creates a leak-tight, steam- and high-temperature-resistant connection that is also easy to loosen and tighten without tools. The wing nut thread has a different (larger) size than the internal thread of the GFB adaptor. The GFB adaptor is a typical component of a complete steam end fitting with female thread. Using the adaptor makes it possible to create various connections, depending on the components used in the installation. Material: galvanised steel. Working pressure: 18 bar (+210°C) - saturated steam. Working temperature: up to +230°C.
