FLEX-GEAR band clamp with compensation spring, series 847, stainless steel
Worm-drive clamp with a spring for compensation of dimensional changes in the connection (hose shrinkage due to cold flow or large temperature changes). The spring consists of a set of 8 disc springs (Belleville washers) under the screw head. This ensures maintenance of the clamp tension and leak-tightness around the entire hose circumference, preventing leakage from the installation. The clamp spring mechanism allows the diameter to be automatically increased or decreased while maintaining clamp tension. Particularly recommended in case of large temperature variations. Proper clamp tightening is indicated by the screw end protruding beyond the clamp housing and the flattened disc springs. The internal liner protects the hose surface against damage.
