Band clamp with compensating spring FLEX-GEAR HD, series 845, stainless steel
Worm-drive clamp with compensating spring designed to compensate for dimensional changes in the connection (hose shrinkage due to cold flow or due to large temperature changes). The spring consists of a set of 10 disc springs (Belleville washers) under the screw head. This ensures maintenance of the clamp tightening force and leak-tightness around the entire hose circumference, preventing leakage from the installation. The spring mechanism of the clamp allows the diameter to be automatically increased or reduced while maintaining clamp tightening force. Particularly recommended for large temperature variations in heavier-duty applications. Correct clamp tightening is indicated by the screw end protruding beyond the housing of the clamp and the flattened disc springs. The inner liner of the clamp protects the hose surface from damage.
